EXHIBITION FLYING DRAGONS
HUNTING IN INSECTS WORLD
The photographs of the exhibition "Wings of Dragonflies" presented at the festival of Montier-en-Der in 2009 were taken with Nikon D3 and D3x cameras associated with the lenses Micro-Nikkor AFS VR 105mm f / 2.8G, Micro-Nikkor AF 200mm f / 4D, AFS VR 200mm f / 2 and most often with telephoto Nikkor AFS VR 400mm f / 2.8G. The fastest actions were frozen by flash units thanks to their very short flashes that achieve the record breaking time of 1 / 40,000 ° sec. Other images were taken by combining sun light and flash at the shutter speed of 1/8000sec. With this process, the end of the wings is affected by a slight motion blur which thus highlights the high speed of flapping wings.
